Henry I Beauclerc was born in September 1068 in Selby, Yorkshire, England and his baptism took place on August 5th, 1100.  Henry I Beauclerc's father was William I "The Conqueror" King of England de Normandie and his mother was Princess/Queen of England Mathilde de Flandres. He had three brothers and eight sisters, named Robert II, Richard, William II "Rufus", Gundrade, Adelisa, Cecilia, Constance, Adela, Agatha Matilda, Anna and Margaret.  He was the second youngest of the twelve children. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named William I and Gundrid.  He died at the age of 67 on December 11th, 1135 in Lyons-la-Foret, Normandie, France.  He was buried on January 4th, 1136 in Reading Abbey, Berkshire, England.
