Marguerite was born in Naples, Sicily.  Marguerite's father was Charles II the Lame de Salerno King of Naples and her mother was Maria of Hungary.  Her paternal grandparents were Charles I Capet de King of Naples & Sicily and Beatrice Berenger Cts de Provence; her maternal grandparents were Stephen V of Hungary King of Hungary and Elizabeth of Kumanien. She had four brothers and a sister, named Charles I Robert, Robert the Wise of Naples, Johann of Durazzo, Philipp of Tarent and Eleanor.  She died on December 31st, 1299.


Marguerite's family with Charles III de Valois Capet Duc de Anjou

‌Marguerite and Charles III de Valois Capet were married in a religious ceremony on August 16th, 1290 in Corbeil, Marne, France.  They had two sons and two daughters, named Philippe VI de Valois, Charles II de AlenAon, Jeanne and Joan.
