Philippe II Capet Augustus was born on August 21st, 1165 in Gonesse (near Paris), France.  Philippe II Capet Augustus' father was Louis VII "The Younger" King of France and his mother was Alix of Champagne.  His paternal grandparents were Louis VI "The Fat" King of France and Adelaide of Savoy; his maternal grandparents were Theobald IV Count of Champagne & Blois and Mathilde von Sponheim of Carinthia. He had two sisters named Alix Princess of and Agnes Anna de Capet Princess of.  He was the oldest of the three children. He had four half-sisters named Agnes Capet Princess of, Marie Capet Princess of, Alix Princess of and Margaret Princess of.  He died at the age of 57 on July 14th, 1223 in Mantes, France.
