David Clay 
David's father was Mitchell Clay and his mother was Phoebe Belcher. His paternal grandparents were William Mitchell Clay and Tabitha Pierce; his maternal grandparents were Richard Belcher and Mary Obedience Clay. He had six brothers and eight sisters, named William, Bartley, Charles, Ezekiel, Henry J., Mitchell, Patience, Polly, Rebecca, Sarah "Sally", Tabitha, Mary, Nannie and Obedience.-
