Franklin Sowards 
Franklin was born on November 30th, 1867 in Worth County, Missouri. Franklin's father was Henry Sowards and his mother was Matilda Brumfield. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Sowards and Rosannah Spears; his maternal grandparents were John Brumfield and Mary Plaster. He had nine brothers and five sisters, named John, Henry, James, Thomas Jefferson, Charles Albert, Isaac Anderson, Amon, Griffin, Joseph, Eliza Jane, Mary Ann, Mahala, Martha and Anna. He was the fourth youngest of the fifteen children.-
