John William Sims 
John William was born about 1902 in Tower Hill, Shelby, Illinois. John William's father was John Thomas Sims and his mother was Martha Lavonia Shehorn. His paternal grandparents were John Jackson Or Jack Sims and Catharine Ann Knight; his maternal grandparents were Giles Harrison Shehorn and Ammogine Horton. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Charles H., Edward Clayton, George Franklin, Harold W., Anna Belle, Martha Alice and Alta Marie. He was the second youngest of the eight children. He died in Illinois.-
