Rachel Shanks 
Rachel was born in 1862 in , Hawkins, Tennessee. Rachel's father was George Shanks and her mother was Lucy. Her paternal grandparents were Christian Shanks and Margaret Pearson. She had three brothers and three sisters, named William, Wiley, John, Catherine, Mary and Minerva. She was the youngest of the seven children.
