Minerva Shanks 
Minerva was born in 1852 in , Hawkins, Tennessee. Minerva's father was George Shanks and her mother was Lucy. Her paternal grandparents were Christian Shanks and Margaret Pearson. She had three brothers and three sisters, named William, Wiley, John, Catherine, Mary and Rachel. She was the third youngest of the seven children.
