William Hamlin Cato 
William Hamlin was born in 1864 in Tennessee. William Hamlin's father was Robert Cato and his mother was Martha Jane Wells. His paternal grandparents were Roland Cato and Nancy Vincent. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Edmund, Henry, Robert Wells, Jefferson Davis, Saphronia, Martha, Julia, Fannie and Sara. He was the second youngest of the ten children.-
