Jefferson Davis was born in 1862 in Tennessee. Jefferson Davis' father was Robert Cato and his mother was Martha Jane Wells. His paternal grandparents were Roland Cato and Nancy Vincent. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Edmund, Henry, Robert Wells, William Hamlin, Saphronia, Martha, Julia, Fannie and Sara. He was the third youngest of the ten children.-
