William J. Blessing 
William J. was born about 1825 in Washington County, Virginia. William J.'s father was Jacob Blessing. His paternal grandparents were Jacob Blessing and Elizabeth Messersmith. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Jacob, David, Philip, Elizabeth, Susannah and Nancy Anne. He was the oldest of the seven children. William J. is no longer alive.-
