Eva
I am still at the same place as when I wrote last 8 miles from B. I have not been to town for about 10 days but think I will go down in day or two. Went about 3 miles yesterday and it was so windy as I come back up the mountain that I had to stop in several houses "to pull wind" a little while the "diameter" stands at about 20 degrees below "Cairo" so you may know that the atmoshere is tolerably like invigorating-- We have been having visitors for the last two weeks at night Rocky Mt. Lions, Wolves and wild cats they try to get into our smoke house. We have the smoke house in a coffy sack "suspended in the sky blue invisibility about 20 feet high by means of a rope drawn over a pine limb. I have some very nice specimins of ore Sallie wanted me to send but the express charges from here are enormous so I shall not send them yet. I saw some beautifull round cactus on the mountain side last Sunday. They were about twice as large as teac cup and perfectly spherical. I don't remember of seeing anything like them at home.
Did you go to Hannies to meet Miss Funk as you had expected. What did you learn. Sallie wrote to know my expenses -- ticket from Mitchel to Denver $41.15, Denver to Boulder 2.10, with a few other incidental expences. We took our grub with in a tin box and "thusly" saved about $10.00. Have you learned anything yet from court at Paoli. Was Uncle Will out there. I must close for the present Willie is grinding coffee in a baking powder can with the end of a hammer handle. Write.
Yours, Addison
Wish you would hand the editor of the Fred. News about 50 ct for me sometime when its handy he is sending me the paper and cant send him that amt. of money very easy.
