Matilda Canmore of was born in October 1079 in Scotland.1   Matilda Canmore of's father was Malcolm III Caennmor King of Scotland and her mother was St. Margaret the Exile of Wessex.  Her paternal grandparents were Duncan I the Gracious King of Scotland and Aelflaed (Sybil) of Northumbria; her maternal grandparents were Edward the Outlaw Atheling of England and Agatha von Brunswick. She had a brother and two sisters, named David I, Mary Canmore of and Thora Canmore of. She had a half-brother named Duncan II.  She died at the age of 38 on May 1st, 1118 in England.1
