Louisa Carolina was born on July 3rd, 1805. Louisa Carolina's father was Rogier Bernhadus van Blerk and her mother was Martha Basina Dorothea van de Kaap. Her paternal grandparents were Rogier Bernhadus van Blerk and Hilletjie Giebelaar (van Blerk). She had five brothers and seven sisters, named Johannes Everhadus, Hendrik Everhadus, Fredrik Andries Georg, Marthinus Samuel, Bastiaan Pieter Everhadus, Alida Johanna, Hester Petronella George, Carolina Hester, Orgina Johanna, Johanna Scheubelina, Keetjie Wilhelmina and Rosina Johanna Hendrina. She was the fourth oldest of the thirteen children.General Notes
