Johannes Everhadus was born on October 6th, 1801. Johannes Everhadus' father was Rogier Bernhadus van Blerk and his mother was Martha Basina Dorothea van de Kaap. His paternal grandparents were Rogier Bernhadus van Blerk and Hilletjie Giebelaar (van Blerk). He had four brothers and eight sisters, named Hendrik Everhadus, Fredrik Andries Georg, Marthinus Samuel, Bastiaan Pieter Everhadus, Alida Johanna, Louisa Carolina, Hester Petronella George, Carolina Hester, Orgina Johanna, Johanna Scheubelina, Keetjie Wilhelmina and Rosina Johanna Hendrina.
