Dorota was born on January 10th, 1698 in Miskolezy, Česká Skalice.  Dorota's father was Jan Mojžíš and her mother was Rozina. She had four brothers and six sisters, named Jan, Mikuláš, Jiří, Josef, Anna, Marie, Dorota, Rozina, Ludmila and Kateřina.  She was the fourth youngest of the eleven children.
