Dorota was born on August 24th, 1688 in Miskolezy, Česká Skalice.  Dorota's father was Jan Mojžíš and her mother was Rozina. She had four brothers and six sisters, named Jan, Mikuláš, Jiří, Josef, Anna, Marie, Rozina, Ludmila, Dorota and Kateřina.  She was the fourth oldest of the eleven children.
