Ellen was born on May 20th, 1552 in Semer, Suffolk County, England and her christening took place on May 20th, 1552 in Freston, Suffolk County, England.1   Ellen's father was Humphrey Manning and her mother was Eunice (Ellen) Ungle.  Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Munning and Lady Barker. She had eight brothers and four sisters, named Christopher, Robert, William, Philippe, Humphrey, Henry, Edmund, Thomas, Agnes, Margaret, Johan and Elizabeth.  She was the third oldest of the thirteen children.  She died at the age of 24 in 1576 in England.1
