Winslow Hermon Dow

Winslow was born on August 29th, 1808 in Fairfax, Franklin County, Vermont. Winslow's father was Jonathan Dow and his mother was Joanna Gilman. His paternal grandfather was John Dow and his paternal grandmother is <Unknown>; his maternal grandparents are Samuel Gilman and Alice Gilman. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Samuel, Darius, Harrison, Joanna, Mary and Elsie. He died at the age of 82 in 1890 in Fairfax, Franklin County, Vermont.

General Notes
- Winslow was a resident of West Danville, Vermont in 1889.
  It was proven that Winslow was the brother of Harrison Dow and Darius Jerome Dow, all being sons of Jonathan, born 1776 and Joanna Gilman. Jonathan was initially placed in Robert P. Dow's book as a convenience for Jonathan's line. A letter from Winslow's son written in 1903 surfaced around the publication of Robert P. Dow's book confirming the connection.
