William Dwight Dow

William was born on November 5th, 1881. William's father was James Buchanan Dow and his mother was Ellen Metcalf. His paternal grandparents were John Chipman Dow and Azubah J. Hayden; his maternal grandparents are Eli Metcalf and Diana Clough. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Henry, Mahlon, Lloyd, Maude, Constance and Dorothy. He was the oldest of the seven children.
