John Chipman Dow

John was born on January 18th, 1818 in Walden, Caledonia County, Vermont. John's father was Greeley Dow and his mother was Nancy Glines. His paternal grandfather was Benjamin Dow and his paternal grandmother is <Unknown>. He had three brothers and four sisters, named James, Lawson, Luther, Emeline, Louisa, Samantha and Nancy. He was the second oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 69 on November 9th, 1887 in Albany, Orleans County, Vermont.
