Rufus Dow

Rufus was born in 1809. Rufus' father was Reuben Dow and his mother is Betsey Leavitt. His paternal grandfather was Samuel Dow and his paternal grandmother is Marcia Heath; his maternal grandparents are Joshua Leavitt and Elizabeth James. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Reuben, Gilman, Betsey and Ploomy. He had a half-sister, and also a half-sibling of unknown gender named Nabby and Dow. He died at the age of 62 in 1871.

General Notes
- Rufus appears on the Census of 1850 as having a realty of $2,000. Possibly the Rufus Dow who was warden of the Concord State Prison.
