Elspet Laing

Elspet was born in 1821 in Duffus, Elginshire. Elspet's father was John Laing and her mother was Elspet Cobban. Her paternal grandparents were John Laing and Margaret Junkin; her maternal grandparents were John (Ernest) Cobban and Elspeth Sandison. She had three brothers and a sister, named John, William, James and Margaret. She was the oldest of the five children. She died at the age of 90 in 1911 in Caradoc Middlesex, Ontario, Canada.
