Erzsébet was born on May 8th, 1859 in Szabadka.¹

Erzsébet's father was András Körtvélyesy and her mother was Erzsébet Beringer.  Her paternal grandparents were Antal Körtvélyesi and Rozália Balázs. She had four brothers and a sister, named Béla, Antal, Sándor, Károly and Mária.  She was the second youngest of the six children.  She died at the age of 64 on May 30th, 1923 in Szeged.²
