Károly Körtvélyesi

Károly was born in January 1840 in Tolcsva and his baptism took place there on January 13th, 1840.¹   Károly's father was János Körtvélyesi and his mother was Anna Kázsmér.  His paternal grandparents were Mihály Mátyás Körtvélyessy and Mária Valent. He had two brothers and a sister, named János, Ádám and Rozália.  He was the oldest of the four children. He had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Ágoston, Mihály, Mária and Rozália.
