This book was given to my Grandmother from her sister, Bertha Kepl (nee Schlievert) on her 27th birthday. All birth and death dates were hand written by my Grandmother, after her death the entries were written by my Father. This book is now in my possession.
3Obituary, Regina LeaderPost, Nov 1998. "Edwin John Rumpel, 1914 - 1998. Ed peacefully left his family on Saturday, November 21, 1998 to be with his Lord. He was predeceased by his parents, Christian and Ida Rumpel; and two sisters, Ella Warkentin and Martha Hollerbaum. Ed is lovingly remembered by his dear wife Edna, and their three daughters, Marlene (David) Irwin of Victoria, BC, Carroll (Don) Baird of St. Albert, AB, and Donna (Don) Strudwick of Balgonie, SK. His grandchildren, Sheldon Koshin, Brad Baird, Craig Strudwick, Darin Strudwick and Amy Strudwick; and his greatgranddaughters, Breanne and Nichole Koshin were the love of his life and have many fond memories of their Grandpa. Ed is also survived by his brothers; Ruben (Marge) of Saskatoon, SK, and Herbert (Hilda) of Regina, SK. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 26, 1998 from Faith Baptist Church, 437 Broadway Ave. East, Regina, SK at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. G. Scheel officiating. Interment to follow at 2:00 p.m. at Edenwold Cemetery, Edenwold, SK. Friends so wishing may make donation in memoriam to the Faith Baptist Church Building Fund, 437 Broadway Avenue East, Regina S4N 0Z8 or the Saskatchewan Parkinson's Disease Foundation, P.O. Box 102, Sub P.O. Box 41, Saskatoon, SK, S7N 0X0. Arrangements in care of Speers Funeral Chapel and Crematorium Services."
