"According to Irmgard's book, Heinrich Rumpel, is perhaps the brother of Johann Rumpel born 1767, landless laborer, Illischestie House #100, was married to Dorothea Werb, born in about 1775 to Johann Carl Werb and his wife Maria Schröder died 2 September 1850(?) in Illischestie. Heinrich Rumpel signed the 31 August 1814 contract with PAstor Schwarz on behalf of the evangelical Lutherans in Illischestie (R.Chr.).
    Personal Note: The possibility of Johann and Heinrich being brothers is slim seeing Johann was born in Schupbach, Hessen and Heinrich was born in Bergfelden Württemberg. I'm not saying it is impossible, just that there is not enough information to say for sure and the fact that these two towns are quite far away from each other.
    Personal Note: in my sources from the Ortsfamilienbuch Hartfeld, Galicia (1783-1870 & 1784-1880) has no mention of a Dorothea Werb being the daughter of Johann and Maria Werb. The OFB Hartfeld, (1783-1870) pg. #562, record #1069 reads (The OFB Hartfeld 1784-1880 states the same information, just different record and page numbers);

    According to these records, Johann Karl Werb, record number 1069 and Karl, record number 1070 are the same person (notice that year and house numbers are identical). Karl first married Anna Eva Gerhard in Herborn and after her death married Maria Elisabeth Schröder. So it stands to reason that Maria Dorothea's parents were Johann Karl Werb and Anna Eva Gerhard. Seeing both marriages took place in Hartfeld, the census or record keeper in Illischestie just assumed that Maria Dorothea's mother was Maria Elisabeth Schröder. What I still can't understand is why there is no mention of Maria Dorothea's birth in either records. This produces another question; Are Johann Karl Werb and Anna Eva Gerhard her parents or was Maria Dorothea a product of an illegitimate relationship between Johann Karl and Maria Elisabeth Schröder or Johann Karl - Anna Eva - Maria Elisabeth are not related to Maria Dorothea? Now that this is cleared up, I am assuming (mistake) that Maria Dorothea's parents were Johann Karl and Anna Eva Gerhard, going by the year and location of birth. Isn't genealogy interesting or what!."
