Maria del Rosario was born in 1745 in Cumana.  Maria del Rosario's father was Luis Beltran García de Urbaneja y Cortes and her mother was Josefa Manuela Sanchez Vallenilla.  Her paternal grandparents are Antonio García de Urbaneja y Andrade and Josefa Francisca Manuela Cortes y Osorio; her maternal grandfather was Dionisio Sanchez Ramirez de Arellano and her maternal grandmother is Ines Maria De Vallenilla y Bocanegra. She had seven brothers and eight sisters, named Juan Crisostomo, Antonio, Luis, Dionisio, Jose Francisco, Manuel María, Juan Felipe, Ines Maria, Josefa Manuela, Maria Francisca, Antonia, Narcisa, Leonarda, Juana Rosa and Agustina.  She died at the age of 55 on May 4th, 1800 in Cumana.
