Nicholas was born on February 7th, 1680 in Scituate, Plymouth County, MA.1   Nicholas' father was Josiah Litchfield and his mother was Sarah Baker.  His paternal grandparents were Lawrence Litchfield and Judith Dennis; his maternal grandparents were Nicholas Sr Baker and Elizabeth Grace Richards. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Josiah, Samuel, Hannah, Judith, Sarah and Experience.  He died at the age of 70 on May 1st, 1750 in Scituate, Plymouth County, MA.  He was buried in Men Of Kent Cemetery, Scituate, Plymouth County, MA.1 1
