Frances Amelia was born in 1825 in Parrsboro,Cumberland County, Nova Scotia, Canada.1   Frances Amelia's father was John Higgs and her mother was Ellenor Cove.  Her maternal grandparents were Henry Cobb and Elizabeth Chapman. She had five brothers named Edward, William H., John Henry, Abijah Cove and Joseph.  She was the third oldest of the six children.  She died at the age of 92 in 1917 in Nova Scotia.1
