Benjamin was born in 1719 in West Greenwich, Kent, Rhode Island, USA.1   Benjamin's mother was Mary Aylesworth.  His maternal grandparents were Arthur Aylesworth and Mary Brown. He had nine brothers and four sisters, named Philip, Josiah, Joshua, Amos, Caleb, Joseph, Jonathan, Thomas, William, Mary, Elizabeth, Ruth and Elizabeth.  He was the sixth oldest of the fourteen children.  He died at the age of 87 in 1806 in Quidnessett, Washington, Rhode Island, USA.1
