Mary was born on September 25th, 1886.1   Mary's father was William Owen Williams and her mother was Ellen Griffiths.  Her paternal grandparents were William Owen Williams and Catherine Griffiths; her maternal grandparents were John Griffiths and Catherine Roberts. She had four brothers and two sisters, named William, Thomas, Robert, Lewis, Catherine and Violet.  She died at the age of 75 in 1961 in Queensland.1 



Mary's family with Kenneth McLeod

‌Mary and Kenneth were married in a religious ceremony on September 27th, 1911 in Ipswich by minister Norman W Beaney and witnessed by William O. Williams jr, Catherine Ellen Williams.1   They had two daughters named Hilda and Alma.
