Ramesh was born in 1958.  Ramesh's father is Madan Gopal C and his mother was Indira Devi (Sajjala).  His maternal grandparents were Bhavanarayana  Rao Sajjala and Alivelumanga Thayaramma (Naraala) Sajjala. He had a brother and four sisters, named Suresh, Hyma, Vijayalakshmi, Gyaneashwari and Revathi Krishna.  He is the oldest of the six children.
