James Francis Edward “The Old Pretender” Stuart 
James, known as The Old Pretender, was born in 1688. The Old Pretender's father was James II Stuart (King of England) and his mother was Mary of Modena. His paternal grandparents were Charles I Stuart (King of England) and Henrietta Maria of France. He had a brother and two sisters, named Charles, Louisa and Catherine. He had two half-sisters named Mary II and Anne I. He died at the age of 78 in 1766.General Notes
