John FitzAlan (1st Baron Arundel) 
John was born in 1348. John's father was Richard FitzAlan (10th Earl of Arundel) and his mother was Eleanor Plantagenet. His paternal grandparents were Edmund FitzAlan (9th Earl of Arundel) and Alice de Warenne; his maternal grandparents were Henry (3rd Earl of Lancaster) and Maud de Chaworth. He had a brother and two sisters, named Richard, Joan and Alice. He was the second youngest of the four children. He had a half-brother named Edmund. He died at the age of 31 in 1379.General Notes
