Charles III “The Simple” (King of the Franks) 
Charles III, known as The Simple, was born in 0879. The Simple's father was Louis II “The Stammerer” (King of the Franks) and his mother was Ansgarde of Burgundy. His paternal grandparents were Charles II “The Bald” (King of the Franks; Emperor) and Ermentrude of Orleans. He had two brothers and a sister, named Louis III, Carloman II and Ermentrude. He was the youngest of the four children. He died at the age of 50 in 0929.
