Charles II, known as The Bald, was born in 0823.  The Bald's father was Louis “The Pious” (King of the Franks; Emperor) and his mother was Judith of Bavaria.  His paternal grandparents were Charlemagne (King of the Franks; Emperor) and Hildegard of Vinzgouw. He had a half-brother named The German.  He died at the age of 54 in 0877.
