Robert of Caen (1st Earl of Gloucester) 
Robert was born in 1090. Robert's father was Henry I “Beauclerc” (King of England) and his mother was A woman of Caen. His paternal grandparents were William I “The Conqueror” (King of England) and Matilda (Maud) of Flanders. He had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named William, Matilda and Sybilla. He died at the age of 57 in 1147.General Notes
