Betty Stocks

Betty was born in May 1786 in Berry Brow and her christening took place on May 7th, 1786 in Almondbury.¹

Birth Notes

Betty's father was George Stocks and her mother was Mary Blackburn. Her paternal grandparents were Joseph Stocks and Elizabeth Perkin; her maternal grandparents were Michael Blackburn and Hannah Scover. She had three brothers and five sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named Benjamin, Michael, Job, Esther, Susannah, Esther, Ruth, Ruth and <child>. She was the oldest of the ten children. She died at the age of 69 in July 1855 in Berry Brow. She was buried on July 6th, 1855 in Longwood.²²
