Ann's father was William Stocks and her mother was Eliza Croft.  Her paternal grandparents were Charles Stocks and Sally (Ann) Tiffany. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Allin, Hamor, Charles, Sarah, Mary and Martha.  She was the youngest of the seven children. She had three half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Oldfield, Luke, Alexander, Hannah, Martha and Eliza.
