William Lord Mather

William was born in September 1876 in Tonge-with-Haulgh.¹

William's father was Samuel Mather and his mother was Sarah Hulton (nee Lee). His paternal grandparents were Jeremiah (Jeremy) Mather and Alice Lord. He had a brother and three sisters, named Samuel, Alice, Ruth and Mary. He was the youngest of the five children. He died at the age of 78 on October 3rd, 1954 in Bolton.²
