Richard Mather

Richard was born in December 1821 in Worsley and his baptism took place on December 30th, 1821 at St. Mary-the-Virgin (Eccles).^1 2

Richard's father was Richard Mather and his mother was Elizabeth (Betty) Taylor. He had four brothers and five sisters, named John, James, William, Robert, Sarah, Esther, Mary, Betty and Susannah. He had an adopted brother named Henry.  He died at the age of 21 in 1842 in Worsley.  He was buried on January 29th, 1842 at St. Peter (Swinton).³
