Mary (Polly) Ellen Mather

Mary, known as Polly, was born in 1860 in Middlesex and her baptism took place on August 12th, 1860 at St. Leonard (Middleton).¹²

Polly's father was William Mather and her mother was Eliza Graham. Her paternal grandparents were Nathaniel (Nathan) Mather and Alice Brooks. She had four brothers and six sisters, named John, Joseph, Alfred, Fred, Hannah, Jane, Alice, Eliza, Marion and Martha. She was the fifth oldest of the eleven children.
