John Mather

John was born in September 1853 in Little Bolton.¹

John's father was Thomas Mather and his mother was Mary Ramsden. His paternal grandparents were John Mather and Ann Brabin. He had two brothers and a sister, named William, Peter and Sarah. He was the third oldest of the four children. He had a half-brother and three half-sisters, named John, Fanny, Mary and Harriet. He died at the age of 53 in December 1906 in Little Bolton.²
