James Mather

James was born in March 1843 in Holcombe.¹

James' father was Thomas Mather and his mother was Margaret Brown. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Mather and Ann Entwistle. He had three brothers and a sister, named John, George, Thomas and Agnes. He was the oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 63 in June 1906 in Bury.²
