General Notes
Richard and Peter could be the son of Peter Mather, who died Turton 1765, (based on Peter being an uncommon name). Also, there is a baptism of Ann, daughter of Peter and Elizabeth of Turton in 1730.
We know from Peter's marriage and Ann's baptism, Peter was a Weaver.
In 1754 "Betty Mather - Wife of Peter Mather" died at Turton.
In 1757 it appears that Peter may have remarried Betty Mayo and had more children. However, if this is the case, then he had moved to Little Hulton and died thgere 3 Dec 1789 (aged about 85, so unlikely).
