Amos Mather

Amos was born in 1885 in Salford.¹ Amos' father was Abel Mather and his mother was Sabina White. His paternal grandparents were James Knowles and Jenny (Jane) Mather. He had two brothers named Abel and Horace. He was the second oldest of the three children. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named James and Sarah. He died at the age of 60 in September 1945 in Salford.²
