Clifford was born on February 9th, 1908 in Little Bolton.¹

Birth Notes

Clifford's father was Richard Mann and his mother was Mary Pendlebury. His maternal grandparents were Albert Pendlebury and Catherine Dowd. He had six brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, Jack, Richard, William, Bernard, Bernard, Catherine, Iris and Mary. He was the third oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 74 in December 1982 in Reading.²
