Mary Hodgkinson

Mary was born on September 18th, 1756 in Newton le Willows and her baptism took place on September 30th, 1756 in St. Peter (Newton).¹

Mary's father was John Hodgkinson and her mother was Elizabeth Mather.  Her maternal grandparents were Thomas Mather and Hannah Rawlinson. She had two brothers and six sisters, named Henry, Thomas, Hannah, Alice, Betty, Margaret, Peggy and Martha.  She was the fifth oldest of the nine children.  She died at the age of 83 on January 10th, 1840.
