Ephriam was born in March 1863 in Cowpe and his baptism took place on November 15th, 1863 in Rossendale.¹²

Birth Notes

Ephriam's father was Abraham Collings and his mother was Sarah Ann Asten. His paternal grandparents were Abraham Collins and Ann Mather. He had four sisters named Mary, Elizabeth, Amelia and Sarah. He was the third oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 8 in April 1871 in Rossendale. He was buried on April 15th, 1871 in Newchurch in Rossendale.³
